My Mom sent me this and I thought it was cute!
It also inspired me to write one of my own!!!
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Do you have to tell it all?
Where do you get the glaring right
To make my clothes all look too tight?
I think I'm fine but I can see
You won't cooperate with me;
The way you let the shadows play
You'd think my hair was getting gray.
What's that, you say? A double chin?
No, that's the way the light comes in.
If you persist in peering so
You'll confiscate my facial glow,
And then if you're not hanging straight
You'll tell me next I'm gaining weight!
I'm really quite upset with you
For giving this distorted view;
I hate you being smug and wise -
O, look what's happened to my thighs!
I warn you now, O mirrored wall,
Since we're not on speaking terms at all,
If I look like this in my new jeans
You'll find yourself in smithereens!!!

Ode to my Scale
Oh Scale as you sit upon my floor
And taunt me from my bathroom door
You make me nervous just sitting there
As I try to stay blissfully unaware
Of the pounds I really weigh
and not the ones my license say
I know that I can’t ignore you long
To do so would just be wrong
Because I know that you never lie
Even though I have made you try
By shifting and moving you around
The perfect place has never been found
So please my scale give me some good news
As I have been good and exercised too
It is time to see that needle go down
And maybe just maybe I’ll keep you around!
I seriously can’t believe I sacrificed sleep for this….
Have a great Day!
